Annotated Paragraph
To give you a flavor of
the annotations, here is a portion of an annotated text paragraph with
citations:
| "Amberson
(1986, 1991) found that teachers
became confused about how the material is to be presented. Smith
(1988*)
thought that, while school organization was important,
individual teachers could make a difference.
Barker &*
Swenson (1989*)
noted ... (paragraph continues)" |
Since you don't
have the original, here's what happened: the Amberson
citations are correct and need no action. A check of the reference list showed
that the Smith reference is missing, and that the Barker and Swenson citation
has the wrong date. Also, the & needs to be replaced with 'and'.

These active asterisks are a major feature of our
annotated manuscripts.
